With the release of the next-gen consoles, 2K games and Visual concepts have decided to create a completely new franchise mode called MyNBA. MyNBA will allow you to experience NBA 2K as you have never done before. MyNBA will offer different groups of options that you can choose to enable or not. Let us dive deep into this new mode and discover what it has in store for the fans. First, MyNBA setup options will allow you to customize your gaming experience at every level. The available options appearing on the menu are Fantasy Draft, Customize League Rules, Custom Roster, Customize League, Customize Salary Cap, Customize Simple Settings, and Customize Advanced Settings. Each of these settings will allow you to control a specific aspect of the game. Fantasy draft, for example, lets you start with a draft composed of all the players in the game instead of the classic teams, giving you more flexibility. Another interesting feature of MyNBA is the Advanced CBA rules. These rules are active by default but you can disable each of them for a unique gaming experience. Disabling them will make the game somewhat easier but also deprive you of the experience the developers intended you to have originally. The Advanced CBA rules will for example restrain you from selling new players right after signing them. They will also count the salaries of the players you released but were not picked up on waivers, against your salary cap. Next, you have the Role-Playing Elements; they will use several elements that had appeared in previous MyGM mode in previous NBA 2K entries. With the Role-Playing Elements, you can choose to enable in-game conversations with other characters. You will have extended control over NBA 2K21 conversations allowing you to control 36 teams with conversations. Other Role-Playing Elements that you can activate or not, are Scoring, Skills, Tasks, Morale, and Chemistry. You can turn them on and off as a group or individually. Lastly, you can customize your Budget and Finances, play with other people in MyNBA online league, or simulate offseason periods. You can also decide when the season starts or enable G Leagues and whether or not, you want to play ranked games or not. This last option will limit the number of options you can change or not, in order to provide fair competition for all.
